Class Block & Sports Extension

Munday & Cramer were appointed as consultant architects for a £1.5million project at Thorpe Bay High School. The project involved the design of a year 7 class block aimed at bonding new pupils from a variety of junior schools and backgrounds.

  

 

The facility comprises seven classrooms, a staff room, office, toilets and features a central atrium used for displays and presentations.

Architecturally, the design provides a light and airy environment through the use of high level glazing as well as being functional and tough-wearing. Over-hanging eves on the south elevation and tinted windows provides solar shading.
